This morning Julie reminded us who we need to be obedient to and who we need to be spending more time with. She brought to our attention that many us spend more time focusing on the urgent things that come up in life instead of the important things. She challenged each lady in the room to try to be a little less busy and more in the important areas, like on the wheel with our spokes of prayer and the word.
Christ is in the Center
Galatians 2:20
....and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Obedience
John 14:21
The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
Jesus is our example of obedience. He was obedient to his Father and to his death on the cross for each of us.
Philippians 4:6-8
who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. Instead H emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death-even to death on the cross.
Where are you at in your walk of obedience with the Lord? Are there things you could be doing that will open the doors to his many blessings that he wants to shower upon you.
Take a moment to think back to the moment that you gave your life to Christ. Write it down and share it with someone or place it in your bible. Each lady this morning had the opportunity to share their testimony with someone in the room. You could just see the many blessings that were given to each person in the room. There may have been difficult moments in sharing a testimony or there may have been rejoicing moments but either way we all were truly blessed and for that we are very thankful to our Lord for him giving each of us our story to share.
The homework assignment: Word Study
A word is picked from the wheel illustration then researched then application can be applied into our lives. Word study is an informative method of Bible study. This method focuses intensively on the small details of word meanings.
God Bless
Have a wonderful Tuesday afternoon
