HOPE

Have you ever hoped for something? Maybe a bigger house?  A smaller dress size?  A day to yourself?  Or maybe more serious things like a physical healing or restoration of your marriage?

The work hope in the Greek translations is elpis, meaning "confident expectation in the unseen future" or "the happy expectation of good."

Hope launches a positive outlook.  Without it, lives remain fragmented and broken, personal dreams go unrealized, and sick hearts lose the capacity to cope.  Hope tells you to hold on in anticipation and expectation-because something good is just ahead!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11

For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.  Galatians 5:5

My soul faints for your salvation, but I hope in Your word.  Psalm 119:81

Optimism is the faith
that leads to achievement.
Nothing can be done without
hope and confidence.
