Wherever You Go & I Go

.......God Promises To Be With You

In this great big world wherever you are God promises to be with you. He does not want us to be afraid or discouraged, instead He tells us to be strong and courageous. God promises us this in the Bible; because of this we can find peace in knowing that His word is true.

Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)

Those words can bring so much peace in difficult times and during the best of times. Every time we feel afraid or discouraged God promises to be with us and knowing that, we can be strong and courageous. Think about it, how many times during the week or even in one day can we feel discouraged? It doesn't even have to be huge events, it could be as small as not getting everything done in the day you had planned, or feeling afraid about presenting something at work, or going for a job interview. It's very easy to become discouraged because sometimes we set unrealistic goals for ourselves like taking on too much in one day. Also it's in our human nature to try and figure out life by making plans according to what we think is best. Instead what we should do is bring our hopes, desires, dreams, and all worries to God and ask Him to guide our days according to His plan for our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
