The Hope Giver by Julie Clinton

"Daughter, you took a risk of faith, and now you're healed and whole.  Live well, live blessed!  Be healed of your plague."  Mark 5:34 MSG

One of the most touching stories in the Bible is about a woman who hemmorrhaged for 12 years (Mark 5:25-34).  Though we don't know her name or her circumstances, we do learn enought to feel sympathy.  She is desperate, penniless, and hopeless--until she hears about Jesus.  She knew that if she could get through the crowd and just touch Jesus, she would be healed.  Hope and faither was all she had.

She did manage to touch Jesus.  It was a tender touch.  This wasn't just the touch of someone jostled in the crowd.  It was the touch of a believer.  Instantly she was healed.  Jesus then speaks to her, "Daughter, your faither has healed you".

Jesus is our HOPE GIVER.  When everything seems hopeless, He is our hope!  We know this because while He was on earth, He brought hope to people who were truly hopeless.  Jesus longs to speak the same words to you and me.  Where you've been or what you've done doesn't matter.  What matters is who He is.  He's the Hope Giver and your ticket to renewed body and mind, free from sin and sorrow.  His dream for you is waiting--just one touch away.  Believe.  Rach out.  Be healed in your heart.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, I want to have faith.  I want to have hope again.  I want to realize Your dream for my life and lvie it in hopefulness and joy.  I'm reaching out to You Lord.  Touch me.  Amen
