And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
A primary qualification for serving God with any amount of success, and for doing God's work well and triumphantly, is a sense of our own weakness...
"When I am weak then am I strong, Grace is my shield and Christ is my song." Charles H. Spurgeon
Our weakness is knowing what is best for our lives has been evident since day one of the human race. But God graciously understands our frailty, and He does not leave us helpless. Because we are weak, He provides a Savior to give us a new life. He gives us His Holy Spirit, who stregthens us to persevere in our trials. The more we acknowledge our helplessness, the more we realize our great need for all of God's grace. The remarkable truth is that God's grace is all-sufficient--enough, ample, abundant!--whatever our need, whatever our trial, whatever our circumstances. taken from Becoming A Woman of Grace by Cynthia Heald
God's way is not our way. He puts things, people, circumstances in our lives to bring good to our lives, to ultimately bring us closer to him.
Its hard to stop asking "why" in a trial but from my expereince the moment I stop is the moment that he shows me another part of my story. It is not easy most of the time but when I lean on God, I'm alright and I can walk around most days with a happy heart, feeling at peace, and a smile on my face and going on livng in this life in the middle of my trial. Its God! Its all God that is why I have to the strength to smile when deep inside I may be crying out. God can do and will do the same for you if you just trust Him, and lean on him. Give it up to him. Be weak! Cry out to Him and say "I can't do this!" "I give up Lord!" When you are weak God is strong. God is enough. His grace will bring you peace.
