A Morning Prayer

Jesus, forgive me
for the selfishness of
hurt feelings and
insensitivity
to the needs
of those around me.
Give me your
keen sight and hearing
to know just where to spread
the healing ointment
of your love.
Please provide a supply
just right for today
And Lord, tie a string
around my heart
reminding me that
this is your day, not mine.

And live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as fragrant offering and sacrifice to God (Ephesians 5:2)

Serve wholeheartely, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does (Ephesians 6:7-8)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the famiy of believers (Galatians 6:9-10)
