Confident Peace

I have told you these

things, so that in Me you

may have perfect peace

and confidence.  In the

world you have

tribulation and trials and 

distress and frustration;

but be of good cheer

take courage; be confident,

certain, undaunted! For

I have overcome the

world.  I have deprived it of 

power to harm you

and have conquered it for you.

John 16:33 AMP

The apostle Paul called the peace Jesus spoke in this passage incomprehensible, not easy to comprehend or understand with our finite minds (Philippians 4:7).  Part of the armor of God that Paul later describes in Ephesians 6 is the footwear, the sandals-the gospel of peace.  god has much to say about peace in the Bible.  A quiet spirit, a peaceful spirit, is what God desires for each of His children.  Yet worry in the midst of our busyness is much more common.
